About the Opportunity

Smith & Co is partnering with several established civil contractors delivering major TMR road, transport infrastructure and bulk earthworks projects throughout regional Queensland.

Due to secured project pipelines and continued growth, we’re recruiting experienced Civil Supervisors, Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers who are willing to permanently relocate to Rockhampton, Cairns or Townsville.

These are relocation opportunities rather than FIFO positions, suited to civil construction professionals looking for long-term stability, strong earning potential and exposure to significant regional infrastructure projects.

Depending on your experience, you’ll be responsible for either supervising site delivery or managing engineering packages while working alongside experienced Project Managers, Engineers and construction teams.

Current Opportunities

Civil Supervisors

Lead crews, subcontractors, plant and day-to-day construction activities across TMR road and bulk earthworks projects.

Project Engineers

Coordinate engineering, subcontractors, costs, documentation and site activities while supporting successful project delivery.

Senior Project Engineers

Take ownership of major work packages, commercial performance, engineering delivery and project teams across complex civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver TMR road, pavement and bulk earthworks packages
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant and project resources
• Monitor construction programs, costs and project performance
• Maintain compliance with TMR specifications, HSEQ and quality requirements
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to achieve key milestones

What You’ll Bring

• Experience as a Civil Supervisor, Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer
• Strong background in TMR roads and/or bulk earthworks
• Previous civil contractor experience within road or transport infrastructure
• Strong understanding of project delivery, safety and quality requirements
• Willingness to relocate to Rockhampton, Cairns or Townsville
