The business is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Chefs to support kitchen operations and uphold the venue’s high culinary and service standards.

Location: 1/224 Bong Bong St, Bowral NSW, 2576

Salary Package: $78,000 - $83,000 AUD

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
  2. Assist with menu preparation, recipe development and seasonal specials.
  3. Ensure all food is prepared fresh, consistently and to a high standard.
  4. Manage food preparation, cooking and plating during busy service periods.
  5. Maintain excellent food quality, portion control and presentation.
  6. Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
  7. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving and storing ingredients.
  8. Minimise food waste and maintain effective portion and cost control.
  9. Keep kitchen equipment, workstations and storage areas clean and organised.
  10. Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
  11. Train and support junior kitchen staff where required.
  12. Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
  13. Contribute ideas to improve dishes, kitchen processes and overall customer experience.
  14. Maintain a professional, positive and team-focused approach in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Relevant professional kitchen experience, preferably in a café, restaurant, hotel or similar hospitality venue.
  2. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
  3. Understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation, cooking methods and portion control.
  4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  5. Good communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
  6. Strong attention to food quality, presentation and consistency.
