Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will bring both culinary flair and operational excellence to prepare high-quality dishes, uphold food safety standards, and enhance our guest dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present Indian cuisine at a consistent and high standard
- Support menu development and daily specials
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to maintain service flow and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold hygiene standards in all kitchen areas
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in Indian culinary settings, preferably in a similar chef role
- Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations and contribute to menu innovation
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa)
- Minimum certificate IV / diploma
