CHARGE UP OPERATOR UNDERGROUND MINING - WA SHORTFIRERS LICENCE REQUIRED

Our Client is currently seeking an experienced Charge Up Operator to join its underground hardrock mining team in Western Australia. This position is available on either a 2/2 or 7/7 FIFO roster, providing flexibility to suit individual preferences. A valid WA Shortfirers Licence is essential for any applicant.
Your new role

Safe and compliant execution of all charging and blasting activities in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements Preparation, handling, and application of explosives and accessories Inspection of blast sites, assessment of ground conditions, and verification of firing readiness Coordination with supervisors, jumbo operators, and engineers to maintain development and production schedules Accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and statutory documentation Upholding strict safety standards and contributing to a disciplined operational environment

What you'll need to succeed
Current WA Shortfirers Licence (mandatory)Demonstrated experience in underground hardrock mining in a chargeup capacityStrong understanding of explosives management, safety legislation, and statutory complianceAbility to work autonomously while maintaining effective communication with operational teamsHigh attention to detail, situational awareness, and commitment to safe work practicesCurrent WA CClass driving licence and relevant underground competenciesWhat you'll get in return
