Carpenter, Skilled Labourer or Apprentice

XCEL Homes is a family-owned construction business specialising in residential renovations, maintenance works, refurbishments, and commercial projects throughout the ACT. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and motivated team member to join our team.

We are open to applications from:

1. Qualified Carpenters
2. 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices
3. Experienced and fully equipped Construction Labourers

You will work across a variety of projects including:

1. Residential renovations and refurbishments
2. Property maintenance
3. Demolition works
4. Fit-outs and upgrades
5. General carpentry and construction tasks
6. 
   

This role requires someone who can work independently, take ownership of their work, and assist in managing jobs to completion while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Essential Requirements

1. Previous construction industry experience
2. White Card (WHS Construction Induction Card)
3. Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card, or willingness to obtain
4. Current Police Check, or willingness to obtain
5. Asbestos Awareness Certificate
6. Silica Awareness Certificate
7. Ability to work unsupervised
8. Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively
9. Strong communication skills
10. Reliable, punctual, and dependable

Highly Desirable

1. Own tools
2. Experience in residential maintenance and renovation work
3. Ability to read plans and work independently
4. Trade qualifications or apprenticeship progression
5. Experience coordinating and managing small projects
