Our client, BM Webb Building Pty Ltd t/a BM Webb Industrial Property is an equal opportunity employer which is looking for experienced Cabinetmakers to join their team at Mount St John, QLD.
Suitable applicants will:
- need to be reliable and punctual;
- possess relevant experience or trade qualifications for a similar role
- be able to operate small hand tools;
- have an eagerness and willingness to learn;
- be able to work unsupervised and/or as part of a team;
- have attention to detail and take pride in their work;
Tasks of the roles will include some or all of the following:
- examining drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications
- selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood and other engineered wood products
- working from drawings and specifications to make cabinets and furniture
- installing cabinetry in bathrooms and kitchens and commercial fitouts
- assembling parts to form sections of cabinets and furniture and completed articles
- applying protective coatings to cabinets and furniture
- fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves and other associated hardware
- making frames for chairs and couches
- may make reproduction furniture
- may repair and refurbish furniture including antiques
