An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Building Maintenance Officer to support the upkeep, maintenance and presentation of a diverse range of buildings and facilities. This role offers hands-on work, variety in day-to-day tasks, and the opportunity to contribute to the safety and functionality of important community assets.
Your new role
Reporting to the maintenance team leader, you will be responsible for undertaking building maintenance activities, identifying and resolving maintenance issues, and ensuring facilities remain safe, functional and well-presented.Key responsibilities include:
- Performing general building maintenance and repair works
- Identifying maintenance issues and implementing practical solutions
- Undertaking inspections and reporting maintenance requirements
- Working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Maintaining accurate records using technology and digital communication systems
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance or a similar role
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence using technology and digital communication tools
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Current White Card
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment compliance requirements
