CDA Eastland Trade Supplies is seeking a reliable and motivated Branch Assistant to join its Underwood branch.
This position offers a mix of warehouse operations and front counter sales, providing plenty of variety throughout the day. You'll be responsible for preparing orders, managing stock, assisting trade customers and supporting the smooth running of the branch.
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, communicates confidently with customers and is equally comfortable in the warehouse and at the sales counter. Previous industry experience is an advantage, but a strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for collection and freight.
- Receive deliveries, unload stock and operate a forklift safely.
- Serve trade customers at the front counter and respond to phone enquiries.
- Process customer orders, invoices and delivery documentation accurately.
- Develop product knowledge to assist customers with enquiries and advice.
- Support stock organisation, general warehouse operations and daily branch requirements.
About You:
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well with others and is interested in building a long-term career.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Previous experience in warehousing, customer service or a similar role.
- A current forklift licence and Class C driver's licence.
- Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with customers.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive, flexible approach to working across warehouse and sales duties.
- The ability to safely undertake physical work, including lifting products up to 20kg.
- A dependable attitude, punctuality and willingness to develop your skills.
Experience in construction, industrial supplies, fasteners or a trade wholesale environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
