Brake Press Operator & Rolling Machine Operator
 
Our client is looking for a Brake Press and Rolling Machine Operator to join their busy workshop team in Welshpool.
 
Location: Welshpool
Type: Temp-Perm
Casual Hourly Rate: $40-$48 (negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday | 06:00-14:00 | 14:00-00:00 (Friday RDO or 14:00-22:00)
Overtime: Potential Saturday morning if required
 
Brake Press Operator
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, job cards and specifications
• Set up, program and operate press brake machinery
• Measure and mark steel plate for bending
• Calculate and set bend dimensions, angles and machine settings
• Work with steel plate up to 80mm
• Inspect completed components to ensure they meet specifications
• Monitor machinery and assist with maintenance as required
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area

Roller Machine Operator
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, job cards and specifications
• Set up and operate plate and section rolling machines
• Calculate and set rolling dimensions, radii and angles
• Roll heavy steel plate into cylinders, cones and other curved components
• Perform section rolling, plate straightening and transitions where required
• Work with steel plate up to 80mm
• Inspect completed components to ensure they meet specifications
• Monitor machinery and assist with maintenance as required
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area

 
Requirements:

• 5 years experience
• Worked with plates between 5mm and 30mm
• Forklift License
• Previous use of overhead cranes is essential.
• Can do transitions (cones, square to rounds etc) (preferable)
