BMA Villages - Line Chef
- Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs and Kitchen Utilities.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee development.
Line Chefs
- $103,270 + Super
- Working on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster
- DIDO from Central QLD or FIFO from Brisbane Available.
The Position
- Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees
- Buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib Lunch, or Dinner and Desserts
- Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures
- Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to the minimum
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
- Assist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee development
The Person
- You must be a qualified Chef with a minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent.
- Bulk catering or buffet experience is essential.
- You will have the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and great time management is a must.
- Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and able to manage compliance.
- Must be able to pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol Test
- Standard 11 Certificate (desirable)
