As an Assistant Payroll Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality payroll services for South Australian Government agencies and their employees. By driving operational excellence, service improvement and stakeholder relationships, you will help deliver reliable services that support agencies to focus on delivering outcomes for the South Australian community.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of high-quality payroll services across client agencies.
- Manage daily operations and resolve complex payroll service issues.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer-focused services.
- Support major projects and organisational change activities.
- Provide expert advice on complex payroll, compliance and service delivery matters.
Remuneration
ASO7 ($116,089 - $125,490 p.a.) + 12% Superannuation
What you bring
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Leadership experience in a high-volume transactional service delivery environment.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- The ability to analyse complex issues and identify practical business solutions.
- Experience leading continuous improvement and change initiatives.
- A commitment to service excellence, customer outcomes and high performance.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and lead teams through competing priorities
