An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a highly successful construction and property business. Working as part of a small but high-performing finance team, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations across a growing project-based environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in accuracy, and is looking to develop their career within a stable and well-regarded business.
Your new role

• Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with BAS preparation and lodgement processes
• Support month-end reporting, journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial data integrity
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as required
• Process and reconcile project-related transactions
• Support cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
• Work closely with the Finance Manager and broader finance team on ad hoc tasks and projects

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant is required, with excellent attention to detail and knowledge of the accounting process. Strong reconciliation skills will be essential, along with experience using ERP systems construction & property experience will be beneficial. Permanent working rights in Australia are required.
