About the Role
This is a hands-on Appliance Technician role based at Coppabella Village, working across a large-scale accommodation site on a 7 days on, 7 days off DIDO or FIFO roster.
You will be responsible for delivering reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across a wide range of commercial kitchen, laundry and village appliances, ensuring assets are maintained safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in minimising downtime and supporting a safe, comfortable experience for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform reactive, planned and preventative maintenance on village appliances
- Diagnose and repair faults across electrical and mechanical systems
- Repair and replace components (motors, elements, switches, belts, etc.)
- Install and upgrade appliances and associated electrical infrastructure
- Maintain commercial kitchen, laundry and general village equipment
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required
- Ensure compliance with safety and legislative requirements
About You
- Current Queensland Open/Unrestricted Electrical Licence (essential)
- Current manual C Class drivers licence
- Experience in commercial appliance repair and maintenance
- Previous FIFO/DIDO or remote site experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote site environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload
- Team player with a proactive, safety-first approach
- Restricted Electrical Licence - Refrigeration (desirable)
- First Aid / CPR / LVR (desirable)
- Working at Heights / Confined Space (desirable)
