    About the role:

    An exciting opportunity is available for a Podiatrist to join a growing aged care team and provide comprehensive foot care services to elderly residents across residential aged care facilities.

    In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting foot health, mobility, comfort, and independence among residents. You will work closely with residents, carers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Conduct routine foot assessments for aged care residents
    • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions
    • Provide ongoing podiatric care, including treatment of:
      • Corns and calluses
      • Fungal infections
      • Ingrown toenails
      • Foot pain and mobility-related concerns
    • Develop and implement preventative care strategies to reduce the risk of falls and foot-related complications
    • Recommend appropriate footwear and orthotic solutions
    • Educate residents and care staff on foot care and foot health practices
    • Deliver foot exercises and mobility support recommendations
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualised care plans
    • Support wound care management and provide advice on assistive devices where appropriate

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Podiatry
    • Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist
    • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
    • Passion for working with older adults and improving their quality of life
    • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
    • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
