With a strong reputation for service excellence and safety, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their Sydney-based team.
Your new role
As Account Manager/Operations Manager, you will oversee the delivery of service and maintenance operations for a key client portfolio. You will lead a team of field technicians, manage customer relationships, and ensure service delivery meets contractual, compliance and performance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of technicians across service and maintenance activities
- Managing daily operations to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Conducting toolbox talks, inductions and ongoing team development activities
- Supporting workforce planning, scheduling and resource allocation
- Managing client relationships and attending regular account management meetings
- Monitoring contract performance and ensuring service delivery aligns with client expectations.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and key performance indicators
- Carrying out site inspections, audits and field leadership activities
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational performance and service outcomes
- Assisting with debtor management and administrative duties where required
- Resolving operational issues and implementing practical solutions to enhance service delivery
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous leadership, operations or account management experience within a service-based environment
- Exposure to the fire protection, electrical, mechanical, building services or facilities management sectors
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Experience managing customer accounts and building long-term client relationships
- Excellent organisational and scheduling abilities
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer expectations with operational performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
