Senior Communications Advisor (AO6) Sunshine Coast | Contract Opportunity | Major Infrastructure Projects
5 year contract
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Communications Advisor (AO6) to support the delivery of some of the Sunshine Coast's most significant infrastructure projects, including The Wave Stage 3 (Metro) and the Mooloolah River Interchange Upgrade.
Working within a collaborative Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team, you will partner with project teams, contractors and key stakeholders to develop and deliver communication and engagement strategies that support successful project outcomes and positive community relationships.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading communications and stakeholder engagement activities for major infrastructure projects.
- Providing strategic advice on communications, engagement, reputation management and emerging issues.
- Building strong relationships with contractors, local councils, businesses, community groups and other stakeholders.
- Coordinating construction communications, stakeholder briefings, project notifications and community engagement activities.
- Monitoring stakeholder and community sentiment and helping manage project-related issues and risks.
- Supporting integrated communications across multiple project teams and delivery partners.
About You You will bring:
- Proven experience in communications and stakeholder engagement within infrastructure, construction or major project environments.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience managing issues and stakeholder risks in fast-paced environments.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple organisations.
Highly Regarded
- Experience on major transport, infrastructure or construction projects.
- Experience working alongside contractors, alliance teams or delivery partners.
- IAP2 certification.
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.
