Our esteemed Federal Govt. client is seeking experienced 3x Senior Security Systems Engineers – NV1 Cleared for a long term contract role!
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Engineer to act as a subject matter expert, providing advice, design, implementation, and remediation of security controls across a diverse suite of technologies. This role supports multiple Australian Government entities, enhancing the security posture of systems ranging from Official to Top Secret classification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert advice and implement security controls across government systems.
- Develop documentation for security engineering and administrative tasks (SOPs, design documentation, change requests, etc.).
- Facilitate and participate in workshops focused on security design and remediation.
- Develop and test prototype security configurations to inform guidance and standards.
- Implement security controls in line with the Information Security Manual (ISM), Essential Eight, and other industry standards.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer, with expertise in one or more of:
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Networking, Gateway or Software Defined Networking
- Cross Domain Solutions and/or Diodes
- Sentinel or Splunk
- Enterprise Linux/Unix (e.g., RHEL)
- Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
- Complex Windows Enterprise Environments.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in hybrid or remote teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and executive briefings.
